Long gone are those days of peace and solace,
That eagerness and impatient wait for festivals and birthdays.
This undying headache and sleepless nights,
thought will get used to it be fortnight.
But destiny, I guess, has written only tears and emptiness,
As trying hard, very hard am I, to get used to with this utter loneliness.
Shut myself down, kept quiet for a week or two,
Still didn’t work out a middle ground, to live upto.
Mom, dad, all a family, cheering and cherishing this togetherness,
But, my eyes only search for one and only one “That smiling face”.
Days seem longer and nights become endless,
Failed again, still I kept trying to make things fall in place.
Love, Friendship, all looks so small,
“VOID” is the only emotion found in ‘this empty hall’.
Even today, my heart say, “Wishing you a very Happy friendship day”,
To the most special person of this universe, From a not so extraordinary but loving soul.
